Abstract
The SMART Arm is a non-robotic training device that enables stroke survivors with severe paresis to undertake training of reaching. It is designed for use with or without EMG-triggered electrical stimulation (EMG-stim) to triceps to assist the stroke survivor to complete the reaching task with minimal supervision.
