Cooperating microRNAs for cancer therapy - a systems medicine approach

Cancer Council NSW
Role

Principal Investigator

Description

In this project we will implement a new therapeutic strategy that utilises pairs of cooperating miRNAs as co-adjuvants to sensitise tumour cells to existing anti-cancer drugs. We will test this strategy by applying a genotoxic drug and a pair of cooperating miRNAs that repress the expression of E2F1 in order to overcome resistance in aggressive tumour cell populations.
