Description

This qualitative project aims to explore international backpackers’: (1) knowledge of and experiences with HIV and STI prevention and contraception; (2) knowledge of and experiences with accessing sexual and reproductive healthcare; and (3) knowledge of and experiences with testing for HIV, STIs, and pregnancies while travelling in the Cairns and Tablelands regions. In all, this project will examine how existing sexual and reproductive health services can best engage with international backpackers travelling in the Cairns and Tablelands regions, while providing novel insights into the needs of this population.
