Description
The Indigenous Winter School was run over a five-day period where high school students live on campus and take part in academic lectures and team-building activities. This interaction provides opportunities to meet University staff and students and form bonds with other students in the program. In 2021, I led and facilitated delivery of Day 1 activities which focused on the use of remote sensing and GIS in environmental sciences. The day included presentations as well as hands on-experiencing using drones and GIS.
