Sylvia Kelso

Sylvia's research has explored many works of speculative fiction, including Carole McDonnell's Wind Follower, the works of Ursula K Le Guin, Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan novels and Barbara Hambly's Darwath trilogy. Sylvia’s research interests include women's writing, feminist science fiction and modern fantasy, including Tanya Huff's vampire Blood series.

She has also published several high fantasy novels and a time romance series, Blackston Gold, set in North Queensland, Australia. Her most recent poem, "Elegy for Patrica McKillip", appeared in Femspec Vol 25, Issue 1, 2025.
