Matthew Perry

Matthew completed his BScAdv(Hons class I) in 2017 at the University of Wollongong, majoring in chemistry. He obtained his PhD in organic synthesis in 2022 from the University of Wollongong under the supervision of Prof. Paul Keller for his work investigating the cascade reactions of substituted indigos and the synthesis of indigo oligomers. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow based at the AITHM in Cairns with Dr. Phurpa Wangchuk and is screening traditional aboriginal medicinal plants for the discovery of anti-inflammatory compounds for the treatment of IBDs.
