Biography

Dr Wu joined James Cook University in July 2022 as an Early Career Postdoctoral Researcher in A/Prof. Ulf Schmitz's team. Additionally, he holds the position of Lecturer in Mathematical and Computational Biology in the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology (CPHMVS).

Thaddeus earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Monash University in March 2022. He conducts research in mathematical and computational biology, utilising his experience in mathematical modelling, algorithm development, and statistical analysis to study the mechanisms of cell fate determination.

Currently, Thaddeus is focused on developing a novel mathematical framework to describe how mechanisms of alternative splicing and isoform expression at the single-cell level regulate cell fate determination.
