Biography
Dr. Huiqing (Jeffrey) Huang is a geologist with research expertise in igneous petrology, geochronology, geochemistry, and isotopes. His research primarily focuses on applying geochemistry and isotopes of hard rocks in unravelling magma differentiation processes and gaining insight into the evolution of continental crust and mineral systems.
As Senior Research Officer at James Cook University he manages the Advanced Analytical Centre’s (AAC) Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) facilities and in addition provides support into other microanalytical techniques. With almost 20 years' experience, he provides expert support and analytical services to JCU researchers across diverse fields in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Archaeology, Aquaculture, Marine Sciences, and Earth Sciences. He also works closely with professionals and researchers from industry and government organizations (e.g., Geological Survey of New South Wales).
