Biography
I graduated with First Class Honours in Biomedical Science from the University of Queensland in 2015. Following this, I worked as a Research Assistant at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and James Cook University until 2019. Since then, I have held multiple roles at JCU, including as a part-time PhD student with the Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine, a laboratory manager in the College of Medicine and Dentistry, and a cross-campus Teaching and Research Academic. In 2024, I was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical and Molecular Sciences. My research interests focus on integrating molecular biology, microbiology, and immunology to investigate cellular immune responses to infection and vaccination. I am privileged to teach these fascinating areas of science to the eager and curious minds at this university.
