Biography

Dr Christopher Papadopoulos is a Lecturer in the College of Healthcare Sciences (CHS).

Christopher has a PhD in cognitive psychology which examined the way in which intentionality is attributed to moral agents whose actions bring about ostensibly unintended consequences and the degree to which a rationalist model of moral reasoning explains pertinent experimental findings.

Christopher has an extensive background in both experimental and applied research and has worked across a number of specialties including work relevant to the prevalence and management of pain in aged care residents with or without dementia; a health performance reporting agency providing healthcare professionals and the public with regular reports on public healthcare sector performance; robot-assisted surgery across different medical conditions; and the use of a novel immersive visualisation paradigm to promote empathy towards older adults with the aim of reducing stigma related to ageing and dementia.
