Biography
Dr. Simon Das is a Research Fellow at the College of Science and Engineering, James Cook University, Australia. His current research focuses on grouper nutrition and physiology, with the aim of developing effective diets to boost grouper production.
Before joining James Cook University, Dr. Das served as an Associate Professor at the National University of Malaysia, where he researched fish responses to environmental issues like global warming and ocean acidification. With over 100 peer-reviewed publications, more than 40 conference presentations, and two authored books, he is regarded as a leading scientist in his field.
Dr. Das is also a board member and treasurer of Aquaculture without Frontiers (Australia) Ltd., a visiting research fellow at NuSea.Lab at Deakin University, and an active member of both the Fisheries Society of the British Isles and the American Fisheries Society.
