Biography

Caitlin completed her PhD in ecotoxicology, focusing on the impacts of contaminants on sea turtle health. With over a decade of experience working on sea turtles, her research interests span human-induced pressures on marine ecosystems, including climate change, plastic pollution, fisheries interactions, and habitat degradation. Caitlin is currently part of the TropWATER seagrass team, mapping seagrass across northern Australia and studying its variation in response to environmental and habitat changes, in addition, she is also developing a sea turtle research portfolio. Passionate about collaborative science, Caitlin is dedicated on co-designing research projects and management plans alongside Traditional Owners and local communities.
